Kevin T. Sheilley, CCE, is the President/CEO of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, representing the needs of the business community in the three-county Charleston MSA. He is a career chamber/economic development professional with 30 years of experience and has spoken across the country on issues relating to economic and community development. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the national Excellence in Economic Development Award from the US Department of Commerce and was named Executive of the Year in 2021 by the Florida Association of Chambers. Organizations he has led have been named the Florida Chamber of the Year in 2018 and ACCE’s National Chamber of the Year in 2020 after being a finalist in three out of the last four years. He earned his Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) designation in 2023, representing only 4% of chamber professionals nationwide. Prior to coming to Charleston, Kevin had worked in chamber/economic development in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida. Five times he has successfully assisted communities in merging/creating new chamber/economic development entities. Kevin is originally from Louisville, Kentucky, and is a graduate of Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. He and his wife, Lisa, are the parents of three children and have one grandson
