This spot is themed around the works of iconic horror author Edgar Allan Poe, including moody quotes and portraits posted on the walls. Poe's Tavern, located at 2210 Middle Street, has a 4.5 star rating on Google and 4,000 reviews.

"Edgar Allan Poe spent a few years in the army and was stationed on Sullivan's Island. Commemorating his time here, Poe's Tavern is decorated with quotes from the Gothic author's works and several portraits of the writer hang on the walls.
