The 2019 Malibu Open, a professional waterskiing competition, will be held at Trophy Lakes on John’s Island on September 13th and 14th. The event is hosted by Malibu Boats and WaterSki Events LLC. The worlds best men’s and women’s professional water skiers will be competing in the slalom and jump events for more than $70,000 in prize money. To top the competition weekend off, the mens night jump finals will take place on Saturday, September 14th, so come see these competitors jump in excess of 230 feet in the dark. The Malibu Open End of Summer festival will be held in conjunction with the Charleston Water Week. Enjoy awesome skiing along with Charleston's favorite live music and local food vendors throughout the event.
