Panera Bread to Present $17,553 Check Monday to Make-A-Wish SC

Panera Bread Agrees To Be Purchased From Owner Of Krispy Kreme Donuts

Covelli Enterprises, the largest franchisee of Panera Bread, will present a check for $17, 553 to Make-A-Wish South Carolina as a result of the company's fundraising efforts during the month of July, August, and September. The formal check presentation will occur Monday, November 18th at 5:30PM at the Panera Bread in West Ashley at 2000 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29407. Pastries and takeaways for attendees will be provided.

During the months of July, August, and September all Covelli-owned and operated Panera Bread cafes in South Carolina raised funds for Make-A-Wish through their round up program, in which customers can round up their order total to the next dollar at the register, and through change canisters at select cafes. This is the second year Panera has partnered with Make-A-Wish South Carolina for their Summer of Wishes Campaign, and to date has donated over $36,000, enough to grant wishes for 5 children.

In attendance at the check presentation will be representatives from Panera Bread and Make-A-Wish South Carolina, along with wish child, Aiden Rose and his family, local to Charleston. Aiden received his wish to meet and skate with the LA Kings hockey team in March.

"What better way is there to show our commitment to the future of our communities than to provide wishes and hope to local children with serious illnesses", said Sam Covelli, Owner/Operator of Covelli Enterprises. "We care about the kids and families in the areas we serve, and being able to support Make-A-Wish's incredible mission this summer means the world to us and our South Carolina employees."
