Gene Simmons Accuser Seeks To Drop Sexual Battery Lawsuit

A woman who accused KISS bassist Gene Simmons of groping her in 2016 during an appearance at his Rock & Brews restaurant has asked for her case to be dismissed.

The woman, who is not identified by name in the lawsuit, asked a Los Angeles court last week to dismiss the case with prejudice, meaning there will be no further litigation on the matter. Court documents do not specify whether a settlement was reached, but the request suggests the two parties came to an agreement.

The lawsuit was filed last November, as Simmons grappled with a number of accusations of misconduct.

When a judge signs off the request, the case will be over.

Simmons' accuser in this case reportedly worked as a dishwasher at the Highland, California, location of the Rock & Brews restaurant. She claims that Simmons visited the restaurant during an event and she was pressured to take a photo with him.

During the photo op, Simmons "reached over and forcefully placed his hand" on her crotch, the lawsuit stated. Simmons was also accused of acting in a "sexually charged" manner to other women during the visit, touching them and encouraging them to unbutton their shirts.

A photo from that day reportedly depicts Simmons' alleged misconduct.

In the summer of 2018 Simmons settled another sexual battery lawsuit with a female journalist, which stemmed from the previous year.

2017 was the same year the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was banned from Fox News for his behavior during a day of press at the news channel.
