The Noisy Oyster location on Rivers Avenue closed at the end of August, following the Market Street location closing (which is now Hooked Seafood). This November it will reopen as True Q BBQ!
The new BBQ restaurant in North Charleston will serve smoked meats along a wide-selection of craft beers. Owner, Wade Boals, has big plans for True Q. Smoked meats served will include pork belly, brisket, housemade sausage, and chicken, as well tacos, sandwiches + wraps, salads, and appetizers. The menu and atmosphere may seem very similar to a Shem Creek favorite, Saltwater Cowboys, which Boals also owns. He hopes to co-brand the two restaurants, making True Q the "nosier" Saltwater Cowboys.
All of the meat will be smoked at the restaurant inside a screen porch, so customers can see into the smokehouse and smell the goodness upon arrival.
This new restaurant is not the same as True BBQ in Columbia.
