Wild Video Shows Driver Jumping Out Of Moving Car During High-Speed Chase

A routine traffic stop for speeding turned into a wild high-speed chase on Interstate 94 in Michigan after the driver refused to pull over. A Michigan State Police trooper was forced to stop chasing the suspect after it became too dangerous to follow as he weaved through three lanes of traffic. The officer turned off his lights and stopped chasing the car as the driver exited the freeway.

A short while later, the officer saw the driver had pulled back onto the highway and tried to pull him over a second time. This time, the driver started driving erratically and opened the driver's side door.

The trooper's dashcam captured the dramatic moment as he tried to jump out of the moving vehicle. While he was hanging out of the car, it crashed into the center median, nearly crushing him. He managed to escape unharmed and tried to flee on foot. He jumped over the median and ran through lanes of oncoming traffic, but the officer caught up with him and shot him with a taser.

Luckily, nobody was hurt during the chase and the suspect was taken into custody. Officials did not identify the driver or release information about the charges he is facing.
