Listen to Queens of the Stone Age on iHeartRadio

Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has a new name for Jay Z -- "kook."  During an interview on CBC Radio 2's "Strombo Show," the rocker said that after playing Jay's Made in America Festival last month he decided Queens of the Stone Age probably aren't meant to be out in "festival land."

Homme vented his frustration with the Philadelphia event's security team on stage, but now he says the problems really started backstage.  He took particular offense to security frisking the band as they came in, which is something he says he's never seen before.  Referring to Jay Z -- who founded the Made in America fest last year -- Homme said "that guy's a kook," and added that he felt the entire experience was "rude overall."

Homme and the rest of Queens of the Stone Age are currently on the road supporting their new album, ...Like Clockwork.  The trek stops in Louisville, Kentucky on Tuesday.
