From our News Partners at WCBD-TV:

This is the 14th year of the sales tax holiday in South Carolina.

The Department of Revenue predicts shoppers will save $3 million over the weekend, and in some cases stores offer additional savings to shoppers.

The the National Retail Federation predicts shoppers will spend 8 percent less than they did last year.

To stretch your dollar:

Look for coupons online before heading to the store. Many stores offer deals through their social media pages.
Look for codes to scan in the store with your cell phone for instant savings.
    Opt for store-brand products.
Evaluate what can be re-used from last year.
