From The Associated Press:

NEW YORK (AP) — Major League Baseball has informed the New York Yankees that Rodriguez will be suspended Monday but can play while he appeals the penalty, according to a person familiar with the deliberations. The person also says the Yankees were not told the exact length of the suspension, but were left under the impression it will be through the 2014 season. Rodriguez said on Saturday that he planned to rejoin his teammates in time for their series opener at Chicago tonight.
