Due to the cold weather moving into the Lowcountry local school districts are deciding whether or not to open with delays Wednesday.

Berkeley County School District will return to a normal schedule on Wednesday. This includes before school care and after school programs.  

Georgetown County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, January 8 due to near record-low temperatures. Buses will run two hours later than normal, and school classes will begin two hours later than normal. However, schools will be open at their normal times for parents who need to drop off their children. District employees will report to work at normal time.

Charleston County Schools will resume a normal school schedule on Wednesday.

Dorchester District 2 Schools will resume a normal school schedule on Wednesday.

Due to record low temperatures forecasted for Wednesday, January 8, 2014, schools in Williamsburg County School District will operate on a one-hour delay for students. All staff are to report to work at regular time.  Extended Day programs are expected to be operational at school sites on Wednesday afternoon.
